ZICO IP Attended DIP Thailand’s FY2026 Destruction Ceremony for Seized IP-Infringing Goods from Concluded Cases
As part of its ongoing commitment to IP protection, ZICO IP Thailand attended the FY2026 Destruction Ceremony for Seized IP-Infringing Goods from Concluded Cases, organized by Thailand Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), Ministry of Commerce, in Bangkok. Representing the firm were Partner Pawarisa Fon Suwannachote and Senior Patent Executive, Kittikarn Chatasupon.
The ceremony highlighted the multi-agency coordination between the Royal Thai Police, Customs Department, and Department of Special Investigation, which led to the seizure of over 2.08 million infringing items across online and offline channels. According to the Ministry of Commerce, the items represented estimated damages of more than THB 2.145 billion and were scheduled to be destroyed at ISO 14001:2015-certified facilities to ensure environmentally compliant disposal.
The event underscored the importance of translating IP enforcement into tangible market impact. Effective enforcement, including the permanent removal of infringing products from circulation, plays a vital role in protecting rights holders, safeguarding consumers, and preserving fair competition.
As commercial channels evolve across digital and physical spaces, ZICO IP Thailand remains committed to working closely with rights holders and relevant authorities to protect intellectual property assets and support effective enforcement strategies in Thailand and across ASEAN.
